Affinity Federal Credit Union, Basking Ridge, N.J., presented one college-bound high school senior, Omar Ali, with the Richard A. Romano Scholarship, and three college-bound high school seniors, Yohan Perera, Anneliese Janssen and Jasmine Haugh, with the Affinity Scholarship. All of the winners are incoming freshmen for the fall of 2010.

Black Hills Federal Credit Union, Rapid City, S.D., announced the winners of the 2010 VIBZ! Scholarship program. Four applicants selected from 18 area schools will receive $1,000 toward their college tuition. The recipients were each enrolled in the credit union's teen program, which focuses on promoting financial literacy among youth. This year's winners are Michael McNally, Lauren Lund, Jon Nabholz and Warlance Minor.

Credit Union Association of New York, Albany, N.Y., awarded five $1,000 and fifteen $500 scholarships to college bound seniors who are active members in 12 of the organization's 14 chapters. This year 96 credit unions participated in the association's program, submitting a total of 1,593 applications. The winners were decided based on a grading system devised by the credit association in which the student's academic transcript and SAT/ACT scores are considered along with extracurricular activities.
