CU on the Scene

The $1.2 billion United Federal Credit Union, St. Joseph, Mich, celebrated a milestone by gaining its 100,000th member. This was the culmination of 60 years of steady growth that has also seen the credit union expand to include operations in five states.

Andrew J. Brown of Berrien Springs, Mich., became UFCU's 100,000th member. Mr. Brown was recently presented with a $250 gift card from CEO/President Gary Easterling at UFCU's Berrien Springs branch where Mr. Brown opened his account.

"We not only want to congratulate Andrew on becoming our 100,000th member, but also thank each and every member for helping us reach this milestone", said Mr. Easterling. "United Federal Credit Union exists to serve its members. We value each member individually, but we are also happy to enjoy the strength that such a broad member base affords."
