Texas CU Offers iPhone App

UNITED SA Federal Credit Union in San Antonio has launched its own mobile banking application for the iPhone and iPod touch users among its 28,000 members.

Available as a free download at the Apple Store, the application goes through Harland Financial Solutions' Mobile E-Teller solution to connect with its CMC core platform for account history and transfers. The application also provides branch locators (for its own seven locations and shared branching), and one-click e-mail and phone contact with the credit union.

"With UNITED SA Mobile, members have a convenient and secure way to access their UNITED SA accounts anytime and anywhere through their iPhone and iPod touch," said Steve Coomes, president/CEO of the $228 million UNITED SA. "We look forward to continuously adding new functionality through subsequent updates to this application."

UNITED SA FCU originally served employees of USAA and expanded to a community charter in 2005 to include anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Bexar County.
