NCUA Board Chairman Debbie Matz will hold a town hall meeting with Oregon credit union executives and will address the Credit Union Association of Oregon's annual meeting, the association said. The town hall meeting is scheduled for Oct. 5 and the address to the annual meeting for Oct. 6.

"We are excited that Chairman Matz has chosen the Northwest region to meet with credit union leaders from our communities," said Troy Stang, CEO of the Credit Union Association of Oregon. "Credit unions are part of the solution in helping our state, region and country emerge from these difficult economic times. We also appreciate the chairman scheduling the town hall meeting at a time that makes it convenient for credit union staff and volunteers to have an opportunity to participate in this important dialogue."

The association said Oregon's credit union leaders are likely to engage the chairman on the health of the shared insurance fund, regulatory and exam burdens and comment on recently passed federal regs.
