A white paper that examines best practices in data backup is the latest offering from the CUNA Technology Council.
Titled "Backup Takes Front and Center: Capturing the Growing Tide of Data" and authored by veteran credit union industry writer and editor Karen Bankston, the publication looks at tape backup, disk backup and blended deployments and draws from the expertise of core processors, data backup vendors and individual credit unions.
"The bottom line is that as credit unions invest in additional automated systems and migrate from paper documentation to electronic forms, their data storage, backup and restoration solutions must evolve as well," the Council said.
CUNA Council members are entitled to complimentary copies of this and more than 200 other white papers. Nonmembers can buy them for $50 each. They are available at www.cunacouncils.org.
