Pacific Service Credit Union sponsored the 19th Annual Rubber Ducky Derby on Aug. 1 to benefit the Children's Hospital Oakland, which provides medical care to 170,000 children each year. The annual derby raised more than $1.3 million for the hospital.
Pacific Service has donated more than $85,000 to Children's Hospital and Research Center Oakland since 2001.
"We are proud to be able to continue our support of Children's Hospital again this year," said Steve Punch, president of Pacific Service CU. "While we approach a decade of community partnership with Children's Hospital, their contribution to the health of at-risk, low-income children in our community spans almost a century."
