Three Maine credit unions are piloting the launch of Synergent's new member capture service, a browser-based application that integrates with the most current flatbed scanners to allow users to deposit checks electronically.
They are the $227 million Atlantic Regional FCU of Brunswick, the $285 million Maine State CU of Augusta and the $209 million Main Savings FCU of Hampden.?Checks can be deposited at anytime. Synergent Check Processing & Support Services will then send the image to the credit union for approval before sending it to the Federal Reserve for clearing.
Westbrook-based Synergent is a subsidiary of the Maine Credit Union League.
