The marketing manager at a Maine credit union has won a $2,500 cash prize from CU*Answers in the Michigan-based core processor's first Spec Writer Contest.
Michelle Broderick of $131 million Cumberland County Federal Credit Union in Falmouth won the prize for her proposed enhancement to the CU*BASE system that would create a tracking method to enable credit unions to reward members who make loan payments directly from their ACH deposits.
Entrants had to include a big-picture introduction suitable for a release summary for project implementation, along with explanation screens and illustrations of changes to be made.
CU*Answers created the contest to challenge its client credit unions to create project specifications for enhancements to their core processing systems through its Kitchen program. The Grand Rapids CUSO provides core processing and related services to 165 credit unions.
