Texas Tech FCU Touts Firsts with Mobile Launch

Texas Tech Federal Credit Union plans to be the first financial institution in the Lubbock area to offer an iPhone app for mobile banking when it goes live with a lineup of new services in August.

The $67 million credit union also will be the first in its area to offer mobile banking capability regardless of cell phone provider, it said.

Texas Tech FCU will be offering the mobile services as part of its deployment of the WebFederal3 suite from PM Systems Corp. of Chapin, S.C., which also will include alerts, electronic notices and statements and general online banking capabilities, including account-to-account transfers, bill pay and anytime address and password changes, account opening and loan decisions.

PM Systems said it now has a client list of about 190 credit unions.
