Sikorsky Financial Credit Union of Stratford, Conn., held a "Financial Reality Fair" for over 200 students.
The students went through the process of projecting costs for housing, transportation, food, clothing and entertainment within a monthly budget based on their career choice. The Financial Reality Fair is a REAL Solutions program through the National Credit Union Foundation.
Thirty volunteers from the community advised, mentored and counseled the students as they went through their decision making process.
Local dignitaries such as Stratford Mayor John Harkins and Stratford School System Chief Operating Officer Ben Branyan attended the event to observe and interact with the students.
