A small suburban Cleveland credit union has enhanced the mobile banking service it launched last fall.
Eaton Family CU of Euclid, Ohio, calls the new service Eaton Family CU Mobile and said it can now handle text messaging, Web browsers or downloadable applications on compatible iPhones and other smart phones.
Functions include balances, recent history and account activity, transfers and shared branch locations.
"Now just about any member with a cell phone can get account access. Since this account information is easily available we can better help members figure out how to meet their goals rather than just provide balances and transactions," said Mike Losneck, president of 11,000-member Eaton Family CU.
