A NAFCU Data Flash report showed that vehicles sales in March demonstrated the strongest sales pace since last August. Total vehicle sales increased from 10.4 million annualized units in February to 11.8 million annualized units in March. Over the past 12 months, sales were up by 15.5%.

Car sales rose from 5.5 million annualized units in February to 6 million in March. Sales of light trucks increased from 4.9 million annualized units to 5.7 million annualized units. All six of the biggest automakers except Chrysler saw a year-over-year increase in March.
