Synergent is now offering member capture service through a browser-based application that integrates with most current flatbed scanners to allow users to deposit checks electronically.
Piloting the service are $227 million Atlantic Regional FCU of Brunswick, $285 million Maine State CU of Augusta and $209 million Maine Savings FCU of Hampden.
Checks can be deposited at anytime. Synergent Check Processing & Support Services will then send the image to the credit union for approval before sending it to the Federal Reserve for clearing.
