Why Is MBL Increase Not a Slam Dunk?

What are we paying for with CUNA dues? One thing is influence in Congress by giving money to credit union supporters to help in their election and re-election campaigns. Evidently, we have been giving money to the wrong people. The lifting of the MBL cap should be a slam dunk with the economy the way it is if CUNA had really been using our resources effectively to influence Congress. New leadership and vision is needed immediately as this shows the failure of leadership of those currently involved at CUNA. We should have had no problem in getting the MBL cap lifted if our influence was effective as we were led to believe by CUNA. The dilution of influence of the credit union movement under CUNA is disconcerting. Something needs to be done fast.
