Ventura County CU Gets New CEO

Former San Diego Metropolitan Credit Union President/CEO Joseph Schroeder has found a new home at Ventura County Credit Union.

A longtime leader in the California credit union movement, Schroeder replaces Carol A. Harris, who recently retired after 22 years of service, as the new president/CEO.

Schroeder has over 25 years of senior-level credit union management experience as a credit union president/CEO and as a vice president over both operational and marketing departments.

Active in the credit union industry, he is currently a member of the California Credit Union League's Collaboration Committee as well as its Government Affairs Committee. He has also served on the board of the CO-OP Network, an FSCC audit committee and was a founding member of the Marketing Association of California (now Marketing Association of Credit Unions), and served as president.

VCCU is based in Ventura, California and has $483 million in assets.
