N.J. Green Machine Tracks Down Members

Money was literally on the move during the Dominican Day Parade in Patterson, N.J., courtesy of North Jersey Federal Credit Union's Green Machine.
Positioned as the Totowa, N.J.-based credit union's latest innovation in bringing services to the community, the Green Machine is a custom-built mobile banking truck complete with an ATM, two teller windows and two loan offices that offer all of the same banking and financial services found at traditional branches. Members can do everything from opening new accounts and taking out a loan to ATM transactions and making deposits.
Not only a convenient branch on wheels, the Green Machine is also easy on the environment because it runs on bio diesel.
Plans are underway for the Green Machine to make routine stops to specific areas where people in the community might not otherwise be able to take advantage of the credit union's services.
