Positioned as the Totowa, N.J.-based credit union's latestinnovation in bringing services to the community, the Green Machineis a custom-built mobile banking truck complete with an ATM, twoteller windows and two loan offices that offer all of the samebanking and financial services found at traditional branches.Members can do everything from opening new accounts and taking outa loan to ATM transactions and making deposits.
Not only a convenient branch on wheels, the Green Machine is alsoeasy on the environment because it runs on bio diesel.
Plans are underway for the Green Machine to make routine stops tospecific areas where people in the community might not otherwise beable to take advantage of the credit union's services.
