Tenn. CU Sues NFL Player's Estate

Old Hickory Credit Union is seeking thousands of dollars stemming from an auto loan to former Tennessee Titan football player Steve McNair.
NcNair was killed in a murder-suicide earlier this year. He was shot by his girlfriend, Sahel Kazemi, who later turned the gun on herself.
The credit union's $43,000 claim is for outstanding payments, attorney fess, towing and storage for a Cadillac Escalade McNair bought with Kazemi.
Attorney Gino Marchetti, who is representing the credit union, said that in Tennessee there is a six-month deadline after the proof of death to file a claim against the estate. "These are pretty common, I see about ten of these a week. There hasn't been any adverse action from the McNair side. We just wanted to meet the deadline," Marchetti said.
