FoolProof CU Literacy Hits Road in Wisconsin Tour

The campaign by the Credit Union Association of Colorado/Wyoming promoting financial literacy in U.S. high schools through the FoolProof video/classroom venture moved to Wisconsin this week in full force.

The Foolproof team, led by its 29-year-old Dutch creator Will deHoo, were signing up scores of Wisconsin teachers in classroom visits to start teaching the literacy curriculum.

"We're getting very good reception so far in our visits to four separate schools yesterday and looks like it will be repeated all week," said Victor Frasher, member enhancement representative for the $1.1 billion Educators CU of Racine, which for nearly three years has been the lead CU advocate for FoolProof.

This week Foolproof visits are planned for both high schools and a middle school in Dousman, Hartland, Kenosha and Brookfield. FoolProof sponsors are on a campaign to enlist more CUs and their state leagues in the literacy package seen as an inexpensive, turnkey means of reaching the education community on a direct basis.
