TNB Rolls Out Photo Credit Cards

Credit unions processing their card transactions with TNB Card Services can now offer their members the same sticky card technology that major issuers use.
After months of testing, the card processor has released the Design It! Photocard, a new card personalization tool. The online service gives cardholders the ability to create a custom card designed by the member.
The technology allows cardholders to design their own card using pictures of family, friends, pets, or one of their most memorable events. Each authorized user on the account can design a unique card.
Cardholders can design their cards from the convenience of their home computer. With built-in photo design capabilities, Design It! Photocard allows users to easily upload, format, size and rotate pictures or graphics, to create a custom card. The system is completely secure and requires no personal cardholder data or software downloads.
Personalized cards are proven to increase cardholder usage, boost acquisition, and lower attrition.
"We are rolling out Design It! Photocard to our members as a way to move our card to top-of-wallet status," said Christy O'Neal, marketing manager for Main Street Federal Credit Union (formerly LA DOTD FCU). "This product is just one more tool in our marketing arsenal that puts us on the same playing field as national issuers. However, we have a stronger competitive advantage since we offer better rates, no fees, and superior cardholder service."
Design It! Photocard appeals to a wide member group, especially Generation Y, for whom a personalized card offers an expression of themselves. By making it possible for members to design their own cards, credit unions can create an additional bond with the member making it less likely to lose them to a competing financial institution.
"Personalized cards increase member loyalty, while generating greater income through higher net retail sales, increased transaction volume, and higher average balances," said Mitch Raymond, senior vice president of product development at TNB Card Services.
