Corporate Fall Out Forces Look at Conversion

The results from the latest Credit Union Times online voting poll showed that the U.S. Central and WesCorp conservatorships are forcing credit unions to take hard look at their future.
Forty percent of voters said that their credit union is looking at converting to a mutual savings bank.
Ten percent of voters said that their credit union is considering a merger.
Two percent said they are considering liquidation.
Seven percent said they are looking at either merging or a mutual savings bank conversion and 39% said that their credit union is not looking at any of those options.



Who Should Restructure the Corporates?


There's been a lot of different opinions coming out on the corporate credit union system and how it should be reconfigured, ranging from consolidation to elimination.
