Oklahoma Employees Merging OKC Thrift
Oklahoma Employees Credit Union of Oklahoma City said this week it has now completed a merger of the $10 million OKC Thrift CU increasing total assets to $310 million.
The consolidation, which has been in the works since last summer, was formally approved in October and made formally effective this month.
"OKC has had a healthy balance sheet but they came to us realizing we could offer a broader portfolio of products and services to their membership," said Jennifer Lown, director of marketing at Oklahoma Employees, which has 45,000 members.
OKC, a single sponsor CU with 1,400 members, has been serving employees of OPUBCO, the publisher of the Daily Oklahoman and other state newspapers.
