FIS Signs Tower and Dow CUs

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Two more credit unions are now processing their credit cards on the Base2000 platform from Fidelity National Information Services Inc., the company said.

They are the $1.8 billion Tower FCU of Laurel, Md., and the $1.2 billion Dow Chemical Employees' CU of Midland, Mich.

The Base2000 system was first deployed in 1998 and now supports business, corporate, fleet and purchasing cards for more than 56 million accounts worldwide, FIS said.

Tower FCU has an $87 million credit card portfolio with more than 40,000 accounts, while Dow Chemical Employees' FCU has more than 19,000 credit card accounts in its $26 million portfolio.

Jacksonville-based FIS (www.fidelityinfoservices.com) said it now provides card issuing and processing services, core processing and outsourcing to more than 13,000 financial institutions in more than 80 countries.
