ST. LOUIS — Philadelphia Federal Credit Union's relationship with Enterprise Car Sales has helped bolster a sag in its auto lending.
Claire Ippoliti, vice president of lending at Philadelphia FCU, said that in June 2007 the credit union had $10.8 million in used car loans, and in June 2008 the credit union had dropped to $7.5 million in used car loans.
However, in a joint annual event between the credit union and Enterprise Car Sales, Philadelphia FCU managed to double its car sales from last year. For approximately eight years, Philadelphia FCU has run a two-day sale event at its operations center in conjunction with Enterprise Car Sales. At last year's event, 28 cars were sold and this year, 51 cars were sold.
