DCU to Deploy Guardian Analytics Fraud Prevention Solution

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. -- Digital Federal Credit Union (www.dcu.org) will use the FraudMAP solution from Guardian Analytics as part of its online fraud prevention strategy.

FraudMAP will be used to provide detailed fraud alerts to the $4.1 billion credit union's internal security team and help improve the ability to prevent multichannel schemes against DCU's 350,000 members, the company and credit union said.

"Guardian Analytics' FraudMAP is a best in class solution that fits right into our existing processes and Digital Insight online banking infrastructure. FraudMAP is also transparent to our members and will not impact their online experience," said Craig Roy, vice president of support services at DCU.

In addition to lessening false alerts, California-based Guardian Analytics said, the FraudMAP solution uses predictive modeling techniques to help detect multichannel fraud schemes in which the fraudster uses a compromised online account to gather information that enables a fraudulent transaction via a different channel, such as check fraud.
