Officer to Serve and Protect on CU Board

SAN DIEGO -- City of Carlsbad Police Sergeant Bruce May has been appointed to complete a one-year term on the credit union's board.

May, has been a member of the credit union for over 16 years and has served as a director on the Carlsbad City Employees CU Board for nine years before it merged with Cabrillo.

During his tenure on the CCECU board, May served as member-at-large, secretary, vice president and president. He also participated in future planning, succession planning and the merger with Cabrillo CU. Prior to this appointment, May served on an advisory board for Cabrillo CU.

He holds an associate of arts degree in criminal justice, a bachelor of science degree in business management and a master of science degree in administration.


DuPont Fibers FCU Board Takes Shape


CHESTERFIELD, Va. -- The results are in for the DuPont Fibers Federal Credit Union 2008 board of directors.

Reelected were incumbents Richard K. Dale, who will continue to serve as chairman, Maurice O. Beck Jr., who will continue to serve as treasurer, and Hilda F. Jones. All will serve three-year terms.

Dale began his volunteer service with DFFCU in 1994 by serving as an associate director. Since then he has held the positions of second vice chairman and first vice chairman. Dale is employed by DuPont and works in a reliability role for the Nomex Business.

Beck first volunteered with DFFCU as an associate director in 1997. He has served on the board since 1998. He is employed by N.B. Goodwyn and Sons Inc., a family owned building materials business in Chesterfield, Va.

Jones began her volunteer service with the credit union as a member of the supervisory committee and has served as a board member for over 10 years. She is employed by DuPont, where she holds the position of quality manager for Kevlar.

The nine-person board is completed by Stephen Adkins, firs vice chairman; Z. Blair Hubbard, second vice chairwoman; Betty M. Beverly, secretary; and directors John K. Causey, Sr., Antonio H. Harris and David D. Huff.
