The Idaho Credit Union League announced the final number at its 72nd annual meeting. The donation brought the 13-year fund-raising total for Idaho credit unions to CMN
to $1.5 million.
Credit unions across Idaho generated funds in a variety of ways to contribute to the cause. Some held monthly gift basket raffles, others held holiday bazaars and others offered loan skip-a-payment programs.
One hundred percent of all the money raised went directly to benefit sick or injured children in Idaho. Funds that were raised in southeast Idaho went to Children's Primary Medical Center in Salt Lake City; funds from south, southwest and south central Idaho went to St. Luke's Children's Hospital; and funds from north and north central Idaho went to several CMN facilities in the Spokane and Coeur d'Alene areas.
Top credit union fundraisers included Cornerstone Credit Union, Caldwell; East Idaho Credit Union, Idaho Falls; Idadiv Credit Union, Nampa; Idahy Federal Credit Union, Boise; Inkom Cement Employees Credit Union, Inkom; Lewis Clark Credit Union, Lewiston; Pine Tree Community Credit Union, Grangeville; Pocahy Family Credit Union, Pocatello; Pocatello Railroad Federal Credit Union, Pocatello; Potlach No. 1 Federal Credit Union, Lewiston; Quinco Credit Union, Nampa; and SEI-US Employees Federal Credit Union, Pocatello.
