Philanthropic Portal Proving

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- A special intranet portal sale by Passageways LLC has garnered $6,300 so far for local charities, the company said.

The provider of portal solutions to more than 150 financial institutions is offering its clients an auction manager module as a "name your price" add-on to its Passageways Portal Framework.

The price clients pay for the software is then donated to four local organizations chosen by Passageways employees: the YWCA, Children's Miracle Network, American Heart Association and American Cancer Society.

Five clients signed the purchase agreement at the company's annual user conference in early May and four more have since. The goal for the year is $15,000.

Passageways was founded in 2003 as a CUSO of Purdue Employees Federal Credit Union.
