INDIANAPOLIS -- FORUM Credit Union has been recognized by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce as one of the best places to work in the state.
The credit union's Your Star Employee Recognition Program, LEAP Leadership and Mentor Program, as well as employee survey comments regarding career development opportunities and belief in the mission statement, were cited by the Indiana Chamber as keys to FORUM's inclusion.
The Best Places to Work in Indiana program honors the top companies in the state, as determined through employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys. Winners were selected and ranked from two categories: small to medium-sized companies of between 25 and 249 employees and large-sized companies with 250 or more employees.
Ranked 22nd among large-sized companies, FORUM was the only credit union named to this list and among a select few financial services companies honored.
"This recognition is a result of our entire teams' contributions," said FORUM Credit Union Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Administration Jenny Budreau. "Employees have created a culture that promotes personal development, supports successful training programs, and allows for the incorporation of fun into our daily jobs of providing financial services to members."
Hundreds of Hoosier organizations participated in the program, which designated a total of 66 employers as Best Places to Work in Indiana for 2008.
FORUM Credit Union will receive an in-depth evaluation identifying strengths and weaknesses according to survey input from employees. This report will be used to further enhance FORUM employee retention and recruitment programs.
