GLASTONBURY, Conn. -- A subsidiary of Hypercom will be providing the technology infrastructure to help Open Solutions Inc. (www.opensolutions.com) serve its growing Canadian payments network.
Open Solutions Canada operates one of that nation's largest off-premise ATM and point-of-sale networks, and the company said the use of HBNet Inc.'s network will enhance its ability to smoothly process millions of transactions monthly.
HBNet, part of Arizona-based Hypercom (www.hypercom.com) uses multiple network and equipment redundancies to guarantee seamless, secure routing for both dial-up and Internet-based transactions, that company said.
In addition to the ATM and POS payment switches, Open Solutions' Canada operation provides shared cash transaction processing, ATM monitoring and 7/24 support directly to more than 30 Canadian financial institutions, the company said.
Hypercom said it now is the third largest provider of electronic payment solutions and services in the world, serving business in more than 100 countries.
