Credit Union Service Corp. Elects Directors to Three-Year Terms

ATLANTA -- Credit Union Service Corp. has recently elected Premier Members Federal Credit Union President Tom Evers, Central Florida Educators Federal Credit Union President/CEO Joe Melbourne and New York State Credit Union League President/CEO Bill Mellin to champion its strategic vision and discover new opportunities that position credit unions favorably among financial institutions. The three directors were elected to serve three-year terms

"These directors bring with them an unmatched knowledge of the credit union movement," said Kris Mecham, CUSC board chairman. "As we continue with our vision to connect credit unions around the world to their members, the invaluable experience, enthusiasm and innovative foresight of these directors will ensure the delivery of numerous convenient account access solutions desired by our participants as we move into the future."

The elections come on the heels of a major decision by the Credit Union Service Centers National Inc. board that gives credit unions participating in shared branching through CO-OP Shared Branching's Next Generation Network the ability to opt-out of noncredit union-owned third-party kiosks. The provision was supported by the CUSC board and has resulted in opt-out requests by 420 out of 1,212 (35%) participating credit unions. Credit union-owned machines are not affected by this decision.
