LAKE MARY, Fla. -- CFE Federal Credit Union has been presented the Cultural Diversity Award during the sixth annual Onyx Awards.
The credit union was recognized for its commitment to inclusion and diversity in the workplace, as well as its community involvement in the African-American, Hispanic and Asian communities. A 90-second video displaying the credit union's community activities was shown during the ceremony.
"It's an honor to receive this recognition on behalf of CFE," said CFE FCU President/CEO Joseph A. Melbourne Jr. "This award deepens our resolve to embrace diversity in our membership, in our employees and in our community, and we will continue to be involved in the community where the need is great."
CFE has been an avid supporter of the Onyx Awards since its inception six years ago. The signature event serves as a funding engine to support health and education initiatives which focus on sickle cell disease, early
literacy and scholarship opportunities.
