Clackamas FCU Plans to Dazzle During Youth Week

MILWAUKIE, Ore. -- At Clackamas Federal Credit Union anything goes during Youth Week. From a life-size kangaroo hopping into branches to money giveaways, the credit union has plans to amaze and engage its younger members.

"The idea is to catch kids at an early age and teach them how to be great savers," said Clackamas Branch Manager Kimo Rosa. "We have a society with too much debt and not enough savings, and we want to help turn that around, starting with the young people in our community."

During the action-packed Youth Week, the credit union will match up to $5 for new youth accounts. Young members just joining will also receive other prizes, including having their names entered into a drawing for cash prizes.

A Kirby Kangaroo Koloring Kontest will precede the event with winners taking home a $25 gift card.
