Charter Expansion Approved for Atlanta Postal Credit Union

ATLANTA -- The Georgia Department of Banking and Finance has approved Atlanta Postal Credit Union's application for a charter expansion.

The expansion allows APCU to serve all residents of Bibb County, Ga. Previously, APCU served United States Postal Service employees and Federal government employees living and working in the 312 and 310 zip code areas and their family members.

"For more than 17 years, APCU has provided quality financial services to its members in Bibb County," said Don DeCinque APCU president. "With our recent move to historic downtown Macon, in the heart of Bibb County, we are now in the perfect location to be able to extend the numerous benefits our current members enjoy, to the entire population of Bibb County."

APCU was chartered by the state of Georgia in 1925 to serve the employees of the United States Postal Service. APCU is the oldest credit union in Georgia and the largest postal credit union in the nation with assets in excess of $1.5 billion.
