Alabama Telco Branches Out

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Alabama Telco Credit Union has broken ground on its new Chelsea location.

The facility is the credit union's 15th location in the state and the eighth Birmingham location.

Along with several Alabama Telco employees, attendees at the groundbreaking included the following South Shelby County Chamber Members: Donald Shirley, Rod Burchell, Alicia Johnson, Scott Weygand, Mary Forgo, Dr. Justin Forgo, Shelby County Commissioner, Dr. Robbie Hayes, and Executive Director Stacey Walkup.

Chelsea Mayor Earl Niven gave the invocation and performed the ceremonial tossing of the dirt. Alabama Telco's President/CEO Linda Cencula, and Board Chairman Gary Cannady shared the credit union's excitement for becoming part of the Chelsea community.

The new branch is designed to better serve current members in the area as well as reach out to new ones. It will be easily accessible and features include drive-thru services and an ATM. A grand opening celebration is slated for summer 2008.
