Utah League of CUs Names New Communications Director

SALT LAKE CITY -- The Utah League of Credit Unions recently appointed Jim Bennett as its new director of communications.

Bennett previously served as the director of communications for the City of Sandy, as well as the vice president of sales and marketing for the Tuacahn Center for the Arts in Southern Utah.

He has acted as a campaign advisor for Fred Lampropoulos, Ellis Ivory, and U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch, and in 2006, he served as the campaign manager for the successful Proposition 3 transportation initiative, which provided additional funding for Salt Lake County transit and road projects. For the past three years, Bennett has been the president of the Bennett Group, a consulting firm focusing on marketing, advertising, and governmental relations.

"Jim brings a wealth of talent and experience to this position," said Utah League of CUs CEO Scott Simpson. "We're excited to have him on board."
