ATLANTA — Honoring its nearly 70-year heritage to Delta Air Lines, yet looking ahead to future growth opportunities, $2.5 billion Delta Community Credit Union recently unveiled its new logo.
The logo is an evolution of the original Delta Air Lines triangle with the blue in Delta paying homage to the credit union's history with the carrier, Delta Community said. The green represents the communities it now serves and future growth opportunities. An overlapping, translucent triangle-inspired shape represents wings. Launched Jan. 2, the logo will be phased in over the next few months.
“With this mark, Delta Community acknowledges the origins of flight but also looks ahead to the possibility and progress that flight represents,” said Mary Olson, vice president of marketing.
In 2005, Delta Community changed its name from Delta Employees CU. It now serves more than 100 select employee groups and since the name change, has built several branches in the Atlanta area with another three scheduled to be complete by this summer. Members are also served at branches in Salt Lake City, Southlake, Texas, Florence, Ky. and Cincinnati.
Delta Community, Georgia's largest credit union, serves more than 165,000 members.
