Holiday Bonus, $750,000 Dividend Given by Chattanooga Area Schools FCU

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- The holidays were financially sweeter this year for members of Chattanooga Area Schools Federal Credit Union.

In addition to receiving a $750,000 dividend, 100 lucky members of the credit union received $500 cash during the holidays.

The $112 million credit union said each of its 9,000 members will receive a 10% bonus dividend on all interest earned and a 10% refund of all loan interest paid during 2007. The money was scheduled to be deposited into members' share accounts on Dec. 28. In its annual Christmas Cash Drawing, 100 members received $500 each.

Giving back to the members is one way Chattanooga Area Schools FCU shows that it appreciates their business support, said Gary Land, president/CEO.
