Pittsburgh Teachers CU Kicks Off 2008 with New Name

PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- The new year brought a new name to Pittsburgh Teachers Credit Union: Riverset Credit Union.

Starting Jan. 1, the $87 million credit union began sporting the new moniker, which it says symbolizes its 75-year heritage and is representative of the more than 60 companies and organizations that comprise the credit union's membership.

Along with the name change, the look of the credit union's brand has changed. The new Riverset branding "employs a natural color scheme that has an inviting, organic feel." Riverset's advertisements will also feature "green" tips with the purpose of raising awareness amongst its membership of environmental issues, especially as they relate to fiscal concerns.

The credit union serves more than 13,000 members.
