Alaska USA FCU Launches Mobile Banking in Alaska

ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Alaska USA Federal Credit Union is now offering mobile wireless banking to its more than 315,000 members.

The $3.3 billion CU is the first to offer the service in Alaska, according to MShift Inc., the California-based provider of the mobile banking technology to Alaska USA and dozens of other credit unions and banks.

Alaska USA is calling the free service UltraBranch Mobile and says it allows members with Internet banking to use mobile devices to check balances and previous transactions, transfer between accounts and pay bills, as well as check rates and find the nearest ATM or branch.

"UltraBranch Mobile provides members with the most up-to-date account access technology available, including state-of-the-art security," says Kent Logan, the credit union's vice president of electronic and card services.
