AUSTIN, Texas -- Wincor Nixdorf is now offering what it calls the industry's first mixed-bundle deposit technology for ATMs.
The solution allows consumers to deposit a mix of cash and checks at the same time with no envelope.
The company says credit unions and banks currently using its bulk check-deposit ATMs can convert to the new feature with a modular equipment upgrade.
The process allows consumers and small businesses to deposit large quantities of checks and cash at once instead of in single transactions, increasing efficiency and safety, since the depositor spends less time at the machine.
"Mixed-bundle deposit technology further redefines the ATM experience by making deposits faster and easier than ever before, and presents financial institutions with an opportunity to significantly boost efficiency," says Alan Walsh, vice president of banking for Wincor Nixdorf USA in Austin.
The solution was previewed at the recent BAI Retail Delivery Expo in Las Vegas.
