NEW YORK — EasCorp's new remote consumer deposit captureservice, DeposZip, has been integrated with A2iA Corporation's A2iACheckReader, a set of tools that locates and reads keytransactional information from paper checks and arbitrary documentimages.

This new technology partnership enables EasCorp's clients toleverage A2iA CheckReader for extracting key fields from paperchecks, which in turn enables the processing of checks fromanywhere that a desktop scanner is available, according toA2iA.

According to A2iA, the consumer logs on to their account as theywould to complete any online-banking activity and then selects anew option called “Make a Deposit.” From here, the user isredirected to EasCorp, follows instructions there, and scans thecheck on a desktop scanner. A2iA CheckReader then performs courtesyand legal amount recognition, MICR codeline recognition, imagequality and image usability testing.
