SAN ANTONIO — To mark its 75th Anniversary, Firstmark CreditUnion commissioned two local San Antonio artists to create a muralfor its new Bandera Road branch.

Local artists Conni Brenner and Wendy Carter of Artvarks,Studios Inc. of Bulverde, Texas created the 4' x 12″ acrylic muralreflecting the credit union's San Antonio roots and its commitmentto education and family.

The painting depicts Mission San Jose as it was in the 1930swith a woman and child in the forefront, invoking a sense of familyand learning. Native Texas trees, shrubs, plants, and wild flowersare prominently featured and add color to the mural.
