LONGVIEW, Wash. -- Lower Columbia Longshoremen's Federal Credit Union, in conjunction with Mothers of Military Support, Inc., helped provide Visa Gift Cards to veterans in need and their families recently.
The credit union covered the operating expenses of creating the prepaid gift cards while MOMS raised donations to fund the effort and PSCU Financial Services handled processing for the cards.
"Visa Gift Cards are a perfect payment format for our military personnel because they are more secure than cash and more convenient than checks or vouchers since they can be used at virtually any U.S. retail location as well as overseas," said Elizabeth Johnston, presidents of MOMS.
