BETHPAGE, N. Y. — The $2.4 billion Bethpage Federal Credit Unionis launching its first card after having sold its card portfolio tothe CU Card Association, the card portfolio purchasing subsidiaryof the $3.8 billion Wescom Credit Union earlier this year.

The new card will be a theme card tied to the credit union'saeronautic history and its annual sponsorship of a Memorial Dayweekend air show. Bethpage began its life as the Grumman AerospaceEmployee Credit Union in 1941.

In addition to the air show, the CU is holding a gala for localVIPs and air show participants at Mitchel Field, which is knownlocally as the Cradle of Aviation, and will host Erik Lindbergh,grandson of Charles Lindbergh. This month is the 80th anniversaryof Charles Lindbergh's solo flight across the Atlantic, the CUnoted.
