Summit Announces First Signing for Canadian Service Bureau Platform

CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Summit Information Systems says it has signed the first service bureau client of its new Canada-specific software platform. Prime Financial Savings and Credit Union in Hamilton, Ontario, has committed to use the iSpectrum banking system for five years. The $65 million (Canadian) CU serves Hamilton-Wentworth, London and Ingersoll. "Our marketplace continues to expand. Prime Financial is now positioned to challenge its future and grow aggressively within a relatively short timeframe," said William Clark, chief operating officer of 7,100-member Prime Financial.

The CU says it also will use the Fiserv Wisdom Accounting Suite for general ledger, fixed assets, accounts payable and prepaid expenses reporting requirements. Summit designed the iSpectrum platform for the Canadian market and plans to offer it nationwide via service bureau. The browser-based system includes automated document presentment and signature capture, retirement plan management, cards and loan origination and processing.

"Offering service bureau delivery of iSpectrum is a natural next step for Summit as part of our long-term investment in Canada," says Kevin Sparks, Summit president.
