DuPont Fibers Federal Credit Union, Richmond, Va., recently celebrated 50 years of service. The official organizational meeting of the Spruance Rayon Employees Credit was held on June 12, 1956. Fifty years later, DFFCU has over 22,000 members, $160 million in assets and has expanded membership eligibility to over 130 SEGs. Throughout the entire year, DFFCU will be offering members various promotional incentives in celebration of 50 years of service. Altura Credit Union, Riverside, Calif., marked its Golden Anniversary at its Annual Meeting recently. It was the CU's 50th Annual Membership Meeting. The credit union has grown from a small school district credit union in 1956 to become the largest credit union based in Riverside, with more than 106,000 members and $783 million in assets. This meeting included recognition of Laura Berg, who joined the credit union on July 16, 1956, shortly after its formation, making her one of Altura's "oldest" members.
