HERDON, Va. -- Northwest Federal Credit Union will feature Sammy Rabbit as its parade entry at the 60th Annual Vienna Halloween Parade on Oct. 25.
Sammy Rabbit's song, "Get in the habit of saving money all the time!" will be playing as Sammy dances down Maple Avenue.
The children participating in the parade will receive Sammy's book entitled "It's a habit, Sammy Rabbit," compliments of NWFCU.
For the last two years, NWFCU has partnered with Sammy Rabbit to bring the concept of saving money to the forefront of children's minds by arranging guest appearances by Sammy and the author, Sam X Renick, at local elementary schools. Renick incorporates saving themes into his books in a fun and lively way.
"We believe Sammy's message works perfectly with our efforts to educate kids on the importance of reading and saving money," said NWFCU Outreach Manager Barbara d'Andrade
