SACRAMENTO, Calif. – President/CEO Teresa Halleck of The Golden 1 Credit Union is among five women who will be honored at the 11th Annual Women Who Mean Business Awards. The women are being recognized for their exemplary career achievements according to those who nominated the honorees for the Sacramento region. In the mid-1990s, Halleck served as CEO of a billion-dollar credit union in Maryland. Today, she leads one of the largest credit unions in the country, with assets totaling $6 billion. Halleck is one of only two women who serve as president/CEO among the 20 largest credit unions in the country and is the only female in that role among the top 10 credit unions. "I feel privileged to be among these other distinguished honorees, as well as honored to represent The Golden 1," said Halleck who has been The Golden 1′s president/CEO since Oct. 2002.
