WASHINGTON - NCUA was ranked the 38th best place to work in the federal government of subcomponents and smaller agencies according to employee satisfaction in a new survey.

The Partnership for Public Service and the American University School of Public Affairs Institute for the Study of Public Policy Implementation looked at the Office of Personnel Management survey results of 250 agencies and "subcomponents," which included divisions of agencies and smaller agencies. NCUA got No. 4 among subcomponents in the strategic management category. Other rankings included the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency with an overall sixth place and the IRS near the bottom.

Of the 30 larger agencies, the Department of Housing and Urban Development was No. 22 with Treasury weighing in at No. 23, FDIC at No. 25, and SBA at No. 30.
