ORLANDO, Fla. - CFE Federal Credit Union has joined forces with Orange County Public Schools Workers' Compensation department to recognize and award five elementary schools for providing a safe, accident-free working environment for their employees. The five schools singled out included Dover Shores Elementary, Eccleston Elementary, Hillcrest Elementary, Lake Sybelia Elementary and Spring Lake Elementary. Representatives from the credit union and OCPS Workers' Compensation personally visited the schools where they met with the principals and presented them with a special plaque, a $50 check for the school's safety committee, and a tray of gourmet edibles. CFE was chosen to partner with OCPS on this program because of its commitment to quality education for Central Florida students. Additionally, the credit union recognizes the value of getting involved and helping the schools provide a positive working environment for their educators, administrators and other school employees. This recognition program was created to focus on the importance of safety in the workplace. It served as a reminder for schools in Orange County to make safety awareness and training available for their employees.
